Who is your favorite 5-string banjo picker?

I wonder if I'll get any responses on this one. 5-string banjo players get little respect, generally speaking, (at least not like guitar players do).
My all time favorite is John Hartford, followed by J.D. Crowe, by Earl Scruggs, Tony Trishka, Bela Fleck, and Ralph Stanley (to name a few).

BTW, the banjo forum I frequent has no watch afficianados on it. At least I asked the question and no one said they were collectors of watches; just collectors of banjos.

I don't know anything about the banjo, but I once saw Bela Fleck and the Flecktones play live and they put on an amazing show.

    Steve Martin?

after that, with my limited knowledge, i'd have to go with Scruggs or Stanley.

Steve Martin is pretty good. I think he would be a lot better if he was more serious. He just screws around too much. But, then again, he is showing that he is multitalented.

Being British, I'd have to say George Formby, if he counts as a banjo player.
