Buy more than one this year?

Maybe (if I find more than one I REALLY want)

Spend more than, or less than $1000?

More. I want to step up with the next purchase(s) I make so I might end up making my first 10K watch purchase this year.

    Must be______________.
(what? automatic? Swiss? 200M? 1000M? on a bracelet?)

Swiss, Auto, 300m+, Bracelet, and high quality from a well known Manufacturer. No boutique brands here. JLC, Blancpain, Chopard, etc.

How many watches over $500 MSRP do you currently own?

    More than 6

    Current lineup:
    Panerai Radiomir (42mm) PAM574
    Omega 8800 (38mm) Aqua Terra
    Omega 8800 (39.5mm) Planet Ocean

    1950's Rolex Precision

    Marathon Navigator
    Other Vintage Watches

    You're probably asking a biased group :)

I plan on buying a watch in 2010.

At least 1, maybe 2. More if I discover others I like.

Would like to keep it under $1000

Likely diver oriented watches. Automatic or an eco-drive.

    Currently own 2.

    Would you consider kinetic movements?

Re: Aloha Dive Forum - Who Plans to Buy a New Watch in 2010?

    Do I? Well, yes.
More than one? Hopefully. I've got a few that I want.
More, or less than $1000? Less. Teenagers don't need to go around buying $1000+ watches... IMO.
Must Be...? The only real requirements are that I like it and that it be decently well-made. Otherwise, anything is fair game. Anything. I'd like an inexpensive automatic diver to put on a NATO and use as my oceangoing watch. I was thinking either an orange Mako or a black Dolphin. I'd also like to get an Eco-Drive... probably a BM6400-00E, which I consider to be the poor man's 100 Fathoms. A sterile Flieger from Getat... the list goes on. I'd like to also get some new strap... an orange/ black pilot for my Carbon, an orange/ black Nato for my carbon, a black croc for my Multi Eyes, blue NATOs for my Hamilton, my Wenger, and my Breitling, a rally strap fro my Tissot... oh, and some strap-changing tools would be nice.
How many with a retail price of over $500? 3
    Collection
The Keepers: Breitling Superocean Steelfish, Doxa Sub 300 Professional (50th anniversay reissue, #299/300), Omega Speedmaster Professional, Scurfa Diver One, Shinola Runwell 47mm, Tissot Quadrato Chrono

The Flipped: Too many to count...

Nothing unfortunate about either of those things. Congrats and enjoy!

YES, I'll buy watches in 2010. In fact, I can guarantee it because I already have! Probably 5 or 6 more will happen, depending on what I sell.

More or less than a grand? In the aggregate, probably. On any single, watch, never say never, but it seems there's a lot of great watches out there in the $200-500 range.

Must be...? Really don't know it 'til I see it! In general, something I don't have or haven't tried.

Number of watches over $500? Sorry, my wife my be watching...
