I’m actually surprised very few if any of these have popped up on WUS yet. Time Arrow Watch company makes a real nice and affordable Blancpain homage in both the “no radiation” and ”Tornek” versions. These are Miyota quartz (don’t frown) with hacking incased in 316 ss with slightly domed sapphire crystal setup.

Really fun watches that more closely resemble the unobtainable than any other homage I have personally seen. John Lipsey out of Florida sells these on ebay with over 1500 watches sold to date with 100% positive feedback.

Worth a look for those not blessed to be able to buy a mint 30-50k original watch. Plus, if I actually owned one, I would be too scared to wear it. Lol. Cheers!

John says the blancpain models are pressure tested to 10 atm at the factory. Fyi.

I've thought about buying the Tornek version, but I'm just not a fan of the faux vintage lume on ANY watch. I'm waiting for MKII to come out with their Tornek Rayville, but there's no telling when that will happen.

I struggle with this because I like it, but I'm sort of against what is basically a total copy. It really isn't any different than a Tocino. I went the Vostok built as an homage route instead...

I've hovered over these quite a bit myself, so glad that you brought it up! One question - how is the luminous REALLY? As in - charge it up before retiring, wear it all night, then look at it just before dawn - anything?

These seem to be reminiscent of the DRudy watches from ~13 years ago, albeit with quartz movements (which *I* personally have no problem with). I've owned two of those, and the VERY first thing that I did with both (I still have THIS one) was to send it out to have the dial and hands relumed. Here's my current Dennis Rudy, before reluming, then after (I have subsequently added a REAL moisture disc over the top of the kinda hokey painted moisture disc):

I'm not a fan of faux lume either - this is the only watch I own with same, and prolly the "next one out the door" when I wake up one morning and go "What the ..... was *I* thinking?!"

They are not tritium tubes by any means. Picture shows a charged lume shot. For $130 bucks I’m not complaining...

Where did you find out this info? I'm asking because I was about to buy this but I don't see a water resistance rating in the specs on the ebay page. Unfortunately I absolutely need water resistance as I wear my watches surfing almost daily.
