Best quartz dive watch, <43mm, around $1500-$3000 price range?

    Hi all,

we have been debating and wondering about this in f71 a bit - are there any actually good-looking, quartz-powered dive watches around $2000 to $3000 pricing? Something as good looking and as well-finished as a tudor black bay 58? That's still in production?
There's a ton of really cheap quartz pieces, but when it comes to the higher range (price and quality)... it almost seems like there isn't anything good out there, everything is either automatic, or way way way too oversized (seiko tunas, for instance... Sorry, too large by far...)

    Any ideas?

When I think of high end quartz I think of sinn, omega and grand seiko. Not sure style wise they are anything like the black bay but they are certainly from respected brands.

Sinns and Grand Seikos are both oversized, afaik... Omega, maybe, though their quartz divers are kinda long in the tooth and look dated (90s curves...). Anything out there besides these? Preferably 39 to 42mm?

There's some older Zodiac quartz divers that are pretty cool and actually inexpensive. Look for a quartz sea wolf or speed dragon or any quartz aquaracer TAG...

Spend a little less and get a CWC Navy Diver Quartz.

The Now Not-So-Much Diminished WishList: Newmark 71 black (maybe silver, too); Precista PRS-3 (upcoming quartz versioin, black); Precista Caribbean (undecided on color); Seiko Shogun; Sinn: 104 Black or White.

Yknow, it feels really strange that the best offers so far, for a quartz equivalent of a tudor black bay 58, are old 90s seamasters, vintage zodiacs and overpriced tacticool military watches... Isn't there anything actually modern and good outt here? And if not (seems so....), why not? Weren't quartz watches supposed to be abundant? So where are the good ones?

A bit of vintage vibe but still nice is the Resco Hooper.

+1 for the Resco. Was going to suggest the same. I really like mine, superb build quality.
