Cutting up a shark mesh bracelet

So I have this watch, 16mm between lugs out to 24 or so. Never had a shark mesh, so wondering if feasible to remove some links from a 24mm to fit between the lugs
    Watch is this one

It's definitely possible. The links in a shark mesh (at least the ones I've had) are a made so each row is one continuous looped wire. You could cut it to whatever width you need but I feel like it might not hold its shape too well where it flares out to 24mm. You can order one of the eBay ones for under $20 and give it a try without too much financial risk.

Get a cheapy off the Bay and practice on that. Don’t rush it. It’s a huge PITA snipping one link at a time off but you won’t end up with a bracelet that’s too narrow.

Been there done that! Not hard at all...with the proper tools and a dedicated time slot. I've put a 24 on my 22's a Seiko and a Sharkey Tuna Styled watch. 24 wears much better and looks good, too.

You'll probably be cutting 4-5 coils off each side to get the right look. Measure twice, cut once. Good luck.

Throwing this out there, despite the sacrilege of it, but you 16mm is an asinine lug width and the lugs are nice and thick. I don't know how much you have in that watch or how much you'd care to put into it, but you may consider having the lugs machined out to a width you can do something with.

It sucks but can be done. As others said, be patient. A word of advice I could give is try not to pry or twist too much as it may bend the links in the next row.
