Diver recommendation help (sub 40mm) and wears thin w/ domed bezel?

I have a SKX007j as my only diver at the moment. I was at a event last night and someone in our small group had a vintage submariner. I immediately realized I loved how much slimmer (height wise) the bezel looked, the slightly longer looking lugs and domed bezel. I've been doing some research but haven't found much. What else is similar to the vintage sub sizes without being a homage (no steinhart). I also really liked how the bezel isn't flat.

What else is out there under $1500? I saw the CW 65 Trident but the diameter is just a little big for me. Oris 65 doesnt really seem to come in any colors I like. I'd love some other suggestions. I'm sure omega has something above my price range.

    I have this on preorder:

    They also have automatics.

Also NTH subs are very thin and many variants.

+1 on the NTH subs. They may be the thinnest auto dive watches around at 11.5mm and the Steinhart "39ers" are very comfortable at 13mm. And most with familiar motifs!

IMO these 2 brands currently represent some of the best values in the dive watch world. They both have the fit, finish, feel, and let's face it sometimes the look, of watches costing many times more. IMO YMMV

The Scurfa Diver One is many things, and I adore my three. But thin profile and "longer" lugs are not two of them :). Especially since the 500m models got additional thiccness.

NTH divers on the other hand score high on the slim scale.

The Oris 65 is very popular so if there are no colours that grab you then wait as I wouldn’t be at all surprised if more were to follow soonish.

If you’re okay with broadening your search to the used market, the Seamaster Pro 300 mid-size (36mm) wears very thin. It can be had for sub $1k. I prefer it over my SKX013 and Marathon Medium for that reason.

Edit: Pic added to show thickness (SKX013 on the left, 2551.80 on the right)

I heard that Yema has just come out with some new domed divers. I've got an old Yema with a flat sapphire crystal that wears very thin.

Thanks for the comparison. I was not aware that the Omega was that thin.
