Good write up/pics of new Omega SMP Coaxial

from TZ. Thought I would post here as well as on Omega forum. From what I can gather, they are anticipating a price increase of over $900 in the MSRP....."worth" it in comparison to the current model?

Thanks for the preview of the new co-axial Bond. Is the $900.00 price difference going to make it worth it? I guess I am on the fence about that one. If the co-axial escapement does make their watches more accurate and reliable and needing less maintenance, then I think it might be worth it. For me it's going to depend on how things actually work out when used in the real world for awhile. So far I haven't heard any complaints and many people who have the co-axials have commented that their watches are extremely accurate up to this point. If that doesn't change, then I think it might be worth it.

I can never get past the skeleton hands. I'd own a Bond GMT right now if it wasn't for the skelli-hands. As for the co-axial, I love my PO, I'd buy another 2500C or 2628 (GMT co-axial) if I saw one with styling as good as my 45.5mm PO.

I would say the co-axial is worth it if the movement's longevity turns out as advertised. Also, I've found that my PO is the most accurate watch I've ever owned. This might just be a coincidence, but it's a fact nonetheless. I'm very pleased with mine. B-)

I like it! Not sure if I like it more than mine for $900 but....I do like it.

That being said. Im glad I bought mine before they are all sold out!
