    Help parting with some divers

Over that past few months Iíve bought a few watches that Iíve always fancied with a view to keeping the ones that appeal to me the most. Problem is I like them all!

I want to reduce the diver collection which consists of:

    Scurfa D1
    Omega SMP 300 Blue.
    Squale 1545 Orig
    NTH Skipjack
    Certina DS action.

Iíve got 2 Laco pilots and a CWC G10 military watch so scope there too (appreciate these are not divers).

The Omega is great but I hardly wear it, Iíd like to keep the Scurfa and I really like the NTH, Squale and Certina so Iím struggling. The latter has both bracelet and rubber strap so a nice mix.

Anyone else had to make tough choices??

    Thanks.

I guess someone could pm you and make your decision easier. Who needs that pesky sales forum anyways...

IMO keep the Omega, sell the rest and buy one more watch for the money.

    Time is inevitable...

Thanks. The Omega was my first auto as it was meant to be my one and only Swiss watch. Then I discovered micro brands... It gives me a headache deciding on which one to wear although it is nice to have a small collection. I spend more time looking at them than wearing them!

I go through phases of wanting to keep them all and parting with most, which I guess most on here will understand.

Do I go through the same process you are going through? All the time dude. Usually because of financial overcommittment when I've bought another watch. I have a solid rotation of three watches, a few that I keep as sentimental and then those on the periphery of the collection that over time end up as cannon fodder for new watches. I'm not into 'collecting' per se and I rarely baby a watch. If I buy it, I want to wear and enjoy it. If I don't then enjoy it I move it on for something else. In that way I've worked through pretty much all the dive watches I've wanted to. Occasionally I'll flip one then later regret it, but that is very rare. It's only happened once or twice.

Just playing reading comprehension with what you wrote:

    Sell the Omega

But keep your collection small, rather than one that takes over your life with 19 micros...

I agonized for awhile about how many watches I should keep ...and went through phases where I set myself a limit 8, 10, 21 ...now at 40 and climbing, I realize that every time I pick up a watch from my case, I get reminded what attracted me to it in the first place...so itís like getting that brand new watch feeling again
