Because it was posted in the Affordables sub-forum!
With an introductory price of roughly $650 it's right in line with the micro-brand watches that dominate this forum.
Any thoughts? I love the 39 mm size, no-date movement, high-dome crystal and well-executed aesthetics. Probably the only thing I don't like is the bracelet, but that's a minor quibble.
On a side note, the no-date Miyota 9039 is now in two micro-brand watches I can think of. Can other micro-brands start to utilize this movement to finally make real no-date watches?
I like it but I don't $650 pre order like it. What is the 9039 movement? I've never heard of it before how is it different that 90s5?
Looks decent, kind of reminiscent of the Crepas Cayman and all the other homages to the O&W Caribbean.
I'm kind of "micro'd out" at this stage of my collecting though.
I like the look, I could think of other customizations I would like, but... at the end of the day $650 is too pricey for the package. That’s a $350 watch in my opinion.

All the best,
790 euros if purchased within Europe!!! Simple & very definite NO for me at that price, works out nearly £700 (just over $900) Way too pricey.
OKEAH Final Edition. 1976-2011. Proud owner of the original watch. Serial number: 251/300
Firstly we assembled all our watches in France (with a complete process of QC and adjusting of each movement receive to get even better results than factory standards) The Aquascaphe has a high double domed sapphire glass and a sapphire insert which comes at really high cost of production. We worked a lot on the watch to be able to encase this double domed sapphire and sapphire bezel within a thin 10mm case with a really slim profile. We have developed as well a complete new thin bead of rice bracelet with a quick release system.
Finally all our watches will be delivered with an in-house thin rubber tropic strap with quality comparable to the Oris ones.
All of this comes to a certain cost !
