Cool I know it's not a proper diver...

But in the sea of sub styles, tunas, sumos, OPs, and all the other iconic watches of the line, things start to blur together in my mind's eye. Then I came across this Dietrich. I know it's not a proper diver. In fact, not a diver at all, but darned if it didn't make me take a second and third look. And with all this chat about $3k Seiko, the DD-1 comes in under $2k. What do you guys think?

Agree, certainly not a dive watch and doesn’t appear to borrow from any mainstream dive watch styles.
It’s an interesting watch and I would pick it up and look at it if I found one in a shop but I don’t think it would have a place in my collection.

I don’t dislike it but it’s not for me.

At this stage, I'm open to just about any type of watch as long as it's well executed, I for one, like it...

With 5 ATMs, it is not an avant-garde diver watch but an avant-garde designer watch. If you like its overall aesthetics, then go for it.

If it's obviously not a dive watch, why did you post this in the Dive forum?
