Need help selecting a quartz dive watch!!!!

    Hi-

I need a tough quartz dive watch that is very durable. It also needs to be under $200. I would also like it to be at least 200m WR. Any ideas on what I should get? All ideas are appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Ron

Check out Military Watches Mall on the bay. It has a ton of quartz divers all 200m and very reasonable. I love mine and regularly beat the hell out of it with no problems. It just keeps on coming.

Other than that, get a Seiko monster. No brainer!

A Seiko "Sawtooth" will fit the bill!
I have all four of them and they are great watches. The lume is right up there with the Monster and the bracelet is great quality too!

I wore my Blue Sawtooth Scuba diving in January in Curacao:

The model numbers are SHC057, SHC059, SHC061, and SHC063. You can find the on-line for anywhere from $130-$180...

    I hope that this helps...

If I'm looking at quartz watches, I always start with Citizen Eco-Drive. Durable, with solar powered goodness and no battery changes. This one (BN0000-04H) is rated to 300m and can be had in the $160 range:

This one (BM6210-56E) is priced similarly:

Or, if you're really going to be diving with the watch, the Aqualands are great. Amazon has this one (JP2014-03E) for a steal at $160 shipped:

And of course you've got plenty of other Seiko, Citizen, and Casio divers under $200. They should all be well built and durable.

I am guilty of overlooking Citizen! I have this eco-drive chronograph that is rated to 200m. I got it for around $150 about a year ago LNIB off of the big auction site!

I would love an eco-drive atomic dive watch! Just set it and forget it!

Yeah Zoodles, I had a feeling you'd bring up a certain model from Seiko!

Gotta love a forum with room for an 'under $200 watch' thread sitting right next to a '$5000 watch budget' thread...

    Hi Gabe,

Alas I can afford several $200 divers; but I don't know when (if ever) I will have a $5000 watch. I do plan to snag a "Darth", Marine Master, and eventually the 600 m auto diver with the 8L35 movement (the re-release of 2000).

That and maybe a used Omega SMP one day!

I'll give another vote for the Seiko sawtooth for a quartz 200m diver at that price point. I have worn mine a bunch, very comfy for it's size and seems to be pretty tough.

Thanks for all the replies, I think I'm going to snag an orange seiko "Sawtooth" those things look tough and durable(I also like the lume!)
This is why WUS is such a great place!
    Thanks again,
    Ron
