Lightbulb Need some dive expert opinions for a green guy

Hey friends - new to the watch collecting world. Have a Kermit I never wear so I wanted to start buying more practical and affordable watches with more fun and character. I have searched site after site trying to get a feel for the brands. I like the idea of smaller less corporate makers and wanted to see if you would throw some models / brands at me that you wish you had known earlier in your buying days. Thanks for any guide. Eric

I love: cool colors, esp blues and greens, brands so far ---> Squale, Lum Tec, Zodiac, Seiko, Aquadive. Love things like the Squale Vintage Master, Seiko Blue Lagoon, Zodiac Aerospace GMT, Zodiac Sea Wolf 53 and Super Seawolf. I just bought my wide the corsica Autodromo Series B which is a whole lot more fun than the Air King we sold!

I haven't done any buying or thinking on the vintage side. I absolutely would w/ an expert guide but not on my own as I really am green and know used presents a whole new dimension.

Well, that's me for now and hope you can help!

If anyone does know an owner of a rare blue Squale Vintage Master x Cooper Page - do let me know. I may be in touch w/ a limited black and would compensate a blue owner well over fair value.

    Eric

I've had Squale and Sinn divers amongst others and liked both. Recently I've discovered and been doing a lot of reading up on the NTH brand divers, they seem pretty hardy and stoutly made. Made in the US with Myota (japan) 9015 automatic movements, 42 hr. pwr. reserve (28800vph) and paraflex shock absorber, in the 600. price range it looks like a real winner with its lumed bezel and crown as well. Im about to pull the trigger on one. Look like top quality with more than a few models to look at.
Heres an example of one. They have more models and dial configurations, round markers, colors, etc. Check out their website, worth a look...

    A summary of your post:

    Cool colors esp blue
    Affordability
    Fun
    Vintage interest.

I think a Squale 30 Atmos checks most boxes:

    Or perhaps an Oris 65

If you like color options, you might consider Doxa’s lineup:
