Cool Small brand but cool/trustworthy dive watch

    Hi guys!

I was wondering about small brand (no Omegas, Rolex, Seikos, etc) watches, yet with an added value. Good timepieces capable of handling all the "hard work" diving requires, yet also cool for day to day use. I'm thinking about expanding my collection with lesser known brands (at least less mainstream).

I was looking at the Sinn U1 , the Stowa Prodiver or the Doxa 1200. The Sinn is growing on me, yet it still looks "too modern" since I prefer watches with a more classic/vintage look.

What other brands/models of diving watches do you think fit this category? Specially European brands?

    Cheers!

2nd on the Aquadive. Would also recommend checking out Squale.

Couple of videos on Squale (including some history) from one of this site's sponsors (I assume posting these links is ok, since P&C is a sponsor?)

If that Aquadive would have crown guards, I would be all over it.

I don't know that the Prodiver meets the "classic/vintage" style that you're looking for but as a distinctly styled, quality for price, less mainstream watch, it's tough to beat.

+1 for the Aquadive as well, it also hits all of the above mentioned points.

+3 on the Aquadive..... I've owned 3 Sinn U1 and the 3 ProDivers. The Sinn is very nice but a inquired taste and the Stowa is nice to but HUGE for 42mm watch and the case seems a bit unrefine. The aquadive checked all the boxes the the other 2 could not for me.

Squale 50 atmos. or MK II Nassau. I say this owning neither but wanting both. Fake edit: The Prodiver is very nice. That I can say from experience.

    Definitely consider Aquadive.

If you like vintage, a big favorite of mine is the LE re-issue of the iconic Eterna Super Kontiki. It's a great everyday wearer and looks gorgeous on the wrist (COSC Chronometer grade, too). If you haven't heard of it before, it's a faithful re-issue (+2mm larger) of the watch that was issued in the 1970's to the elite commandos of the Israeli Defense Force (a grail dive watch).

Shhhh. Don't tell anyone. I try and keep the Prodiver a secret. Great German minimalist design, nice fit and finished, classic eta movement. I like to think of it as a Proto-boutique diver.
