Do you have to “seal” (like woodworking) it in any way? I had a set of Damascus knives my brother gave me and they rusted terribly. Wonder if I should have been piling them after each use, whether the stock he was using wasn’t great, or whether there should have been a “seal” process that never happened.

Had the same problem, bought a Damascus blade made from forged battle tank barrel steel. But hat the problem that it got in touch with vinegar and it rusted in massive way
I use bowling ball wax to seal it, here is my next one The Damascus Warrior
