Damascus watch project

It started with 2 by 2 inches and half inch thick damascus billet and end up with 47 mm from lugs to lugs
and 43 mm bezel size

Very cool finished look.

Do you have to “seal” (like woodworking) it in any way? I had a set of Damascus knives my brother gave me and they rusted terribly. Wonder if I should have been piling them after each use, whether the stock he was using wasn’t great, or whether there should have been a “seal” process that never happened.

Had the same problem, bought a Damascus blade made from forged battle tank barrel steel. But hat the problem that it got in touch with vinegar and it rusted in massive way
