    Design question

I have focused on a Dornbleuth & Sohn Calibre 99.1 after considering another marine watch.

Most of the watches in my collection have a black dial so considered their silver dial. There is an option for applied numerals in silver, blue or black.

Blue seems interesting and black makes sense for legibility.

    Any opinions out there?

No one can replace your tase nor take the decision from you what to buy.. as this channel is dedicated to self established designs , you are probably better with the buyers channels

Thread moved to our German Watches Forum. I‘d go for blue on silver, a gorgeous combination for a Dornblüth.
    Kind regards

I'd go for classic black, the hands are blue so you are good to go.

I'd go black - more understated.

Personally, I like white. Classic marine chronometer look, high contrast/easy to read, and goes with just about anything!

I just wish my wrist was a little bigger for it.

Still a great watch and definitely on my short list. Highly recommended!

I have the blue, it’s gorgeous and I don’t believe it to be less legible than the black.

I placed my order. It’s a Calibre 99.1 on the silver dial with applied numerals in blue to match the hands. When it arrives will be sure to post photos.
