    Interesting Find...

Found this watch today. I thought it looked pretty interesting, never seen anything like it.

A thing that REALLY interested me was that it is made in East Germany. From my little pea brain, I remember hearing the East German things are worth more or "more rare" than West German things. Not sure if its true, so any input is awesome.

It appears to be in decent condition. That is a specialized style.
I don't know about worth more, but price seems realistic for
collectors. I guess the value depends upon how much you like it.

    Re: Interesting Find...

Doing a search you will find some threads on Ruhla Digital, especially on the Digital 73. I would not say they are "more rare" than products from Western Germany, Ruhla watches have been produced in masses. Western German products those times were using swiss or german movements, the Ruhla 24-00 or 24-32 have been pin lever movements which are quite "simple".
    Kind regards

The UMF 24 has been produced in masses from 1963 to 1990 as already mentioned, 116.000.000 movements have been made.

The blue one signed "Meister Anker" were sold in Western Germany through "Quelle", a mail-order company.
