New Model coming soon: Tourby Watches "Art Deco"

    Dear friends

i would like to share with you our new watch model "Art Deco" which coming soon.

Most people think that this is an exclusively design, but in the time of 1920-1940 nearly 80% of all pocket watches looked like this. This is the famous "Art Deco" design. I love it so i planed to build one. It taked long time to finished this project. I wanted a very domed glass (arched), similar to the old ArtDeco pocket watches from 1920. These pocket watches had a plexi glass which is very easily to produce but the same in sapphire is nearly impossible. It is very hard to produce a arched sapphire glass and this glass is 5x more expensive than a flat sapphire. The arched glass is not only outside domed but inside too.

    Facts:
    43 mm diameter
    9.5mm thickness (without glass)
stainless steel or rose gold plated (18k on request)
    sapphire glass front and back
925/000 Sterling silver dial (grained finish - Made in Germany)
    stainless steel hands (Swiss Made)
Swiss Made Tourby Cal. 74.3 (21,600 A/h, 56h power reserve)
3/4 bridge, Gold-Chatons, snailed wheels, swan-neck, perlage, cotes de cirqulaires)
    gator strap

price 1700€ (stainless steel) and 1800€ (rose gold plated) or from 8800€ (18k)

here the historic samples from 1920-1940

here some pictures of the our rose (gold plated) prototype (please note that we producing new longer hands - same like the Longines pocket watch). I will post pictures of the stainless steel one very soon

Here the protoype of stainless steel version

What a beauty! I expect that this watch will be very well received. For me, though, 43mm is too much of a good thing.

Looks very elegant, as I love anything Art Deco too.

I wish it was a bit smaller than 43mm as well, for those of us with smaller wrists, but I am sure it will be a very nice watch.

Looks very much like a Hentschel, which is a good thing.

the watch case is constructed by me to fit small wrists too...

the lugs are very curved, the watch is very thinn and the lug to lug is only 50.5mm

my wife wear it and it fits perfect on her wirst... the watch is comfortable even for smaller wrist. But you should like watches with larger face.

if you not like larger watches this one is not for you... but if you like larger watches but can not wear it because they are un-comfortable on your small wrist... this one will work perfectly

That's a beautiful looking watch. It might be a bit larger than I'd like, but it does enough things right I could still forgive that.

this is our new Cal. 74.3 which we build in Switzerland from a small manufacture but the finish is made in-house. The construction of the movement is based on the Unitas 6498 but this is not only a overworked one. All of the parts are completely made by our partner in Switzerland, not from ETA. And the movment has some technical upgrades against the Unitas (beside the higher finish)

    52h - 58h power reserve

we offer it since 1,5 years and it is available in 2 different versions. Here videos of both models:
