    New Stowa Flieger TO2 / Sinn 556i

This watch just went up on the Stowa site the other day - the Flieger TO2:
    Flieger TO2 - STOWA GmbH & Co.KG

Basically similar to the TO1, but without the bezel...
Thus, you'll note some obvious similarities to the Sinn 556i:
    Sinn Uhren: Modell 556 I

Key similarities / differences between the Sinn 556i and the Stowa TO2:

    Size:
(556i) 38.5mm (many posters have noted they like this watch but it is too small for their taste)
    (TO2) 43mm

    Movement:
2824-2 - Top Grade (both) (no date window on the TO2)

    Design:
Similar design in many ways, but some obvious differences as well. Note that despite the same movement and grade, no date window on the Stowa.

    Bigger pics:

    (TO2) Flieger TO2
    (556i)http://www.watchbuys.com/store/pc/ca...994_detail.jpg

    Water Resistance:
    20atm (both)

    Bands:
    (556i) Bracelet or Leather
    (TO2) Leather or Rubber

    Certifications/Tech:
    (556i) Shock / Anti Mag to DIN 8308 / 8309
    (TO2) Testaf [https://forums.watchuseek.com/f24/int...f-723012.html]

    Lume:
    (556i) C1
    (TO2) BWG 9 (superior to C1)

    Cost (USD with Leather strap):
    (556i): $1,020
(TO2): $1,230 (With delivery to US and conversion to USD at today's $1.10 conversion rate)

Mmmh, besides bezel/no bezel the main differences TO1 vs TO2 are case diameter and Ti case /TO1 vs. stainless steel/TO2. Just saying.
    Kind regards

I might have to email Stowa on the WR. Specs say 20ATM but caseback says 5ATM.

I really like the TO2 and honestly, the WR isn't a big concern for me, just curious on it more than anything.

Jörg just e-mailed me. The watch will be 20atm. The case back of the TO2 which currently is to be seen everywhere on the www was engraved one night before the team started to Basel.
    S..t happens.

Being that these watches from Stowa are of Testaf standards, the WR of course would obviously be greater than 5atm.

Is the T02 known to be a TESTAF certified watch? I looked several places on Stowa's website and did not see that stated unambiguously. The product pages states "sophisticated and tested Testaf technology has also been implemented inside of the watch," but that's not quite the same as saying that the watch is fully TESTAF compliant. The words "inside the watch" and the difference in case material are the reasons I have wondered about this. Also, it does not yet appear on the TESTAF page for certified watches, but perhaps that list is no longer kept current:

No it is not, as clearly stated here on WUS for a couple of times. And, to add, there was no intention to certify this watch since it does not have a bezel.
