Nomos Tangente: The only downside I've discovered

After four months of ownership, I've discovered one downside to the Nomos Tangente.

While the case design looks spectacular, its sharp edges are brutal on the inside of your shirt cuffs.

Apparently shirt cuffs and Tangentes aren't best of friends. :(

I've dealt with Nomos a few times and I'm 100% convinced if you ask politely and explain what's occurring and show them these photos, they will correct the sharp edges.

What do you think Nomos would / could do? It seems like the only solution is refinishing the case to make the edges more rounded... but that seems really above-and-beyond for customer service. :P

I think the case design looks really great. The angular geometry of it suits the dial very well. But now I understand why traditional dress watches all have rounded or slightly domed case edges.

There's only one solution here: short sleeve shirts.

I think my AD would revise this to say, "There's only one solution here: trading in for a Lange 1."

This is the reason why this watch has always been "appreciate from afar" for me. I like the Tangente, but I spend more money on good tailoring than I do on watches. I don't need a watch that chews up it's own value equivalent worth of shirts.

I've had the cuff buttons moved on all my shirts to the edge of the cuff, adding plenty of extra room. It's still a problem.

Maybe you should buy a Ludwig now. Similar case design, but more rounded lugs.
