Off Topic post Steinhart/Robert watches quality question

These two brands are apparently made by the same company.

What has been the opinion of the forum members on:

    Luminescence of dial indices/hands?

    Workmanship/Quality overall?

    Bracelet quality?

I've heard good things except the lume is very poor, seems strange as you would expect these manufacturers to use superlumenova? For the money they compete very well with MarcelloC watches at a much greater price range.

    Well,
Steinhart and Robert (or RobertE) are trademarks of the Steinhart / Elbl GbR, Kobelweg 12 1/2, 86156 Augsburg/Germany. I wouldn´t say that Steinhart & Ebl GbR is producing watches, the Steinhart & Ebl GbR is registered as a wholesaler and trade company (supposed to be import/export).
Workmanship: Don´t even know if they employ at least one watchmaker. Some of their watches are powered by swiss movements.
    Quality ? I heard + and -.

Not at the same quality range as MarcelloC, Stowa, Limes and other German mid range brands.

Marcello C started in 1993. In the first time Marcel Kainz worked together with recommended swiss suppliers. The watches haven been assembled in small ateliers according to the guidelines of Marcello C.
In 2005 Marcello C watches are made in a small town - Würselen - close to Aachen (border to Belgium, NL). 5 watchmakers are employed.
Feel free to visit Marcello C in the US.

    Hello safetypro,
Several ppl at the "Affordable" forum own these.
I'm sure you can get owner comments and wrist pics if you re-post there.
Or perhaps just search the forum.
    Good luck!
