Are Swatch watches concidered "super-accutare"??? They have a ETA 4-jeweled quartz movement. And isnt the ETA quartz chrono movement,a "mecha-quartz",movement??? Thanks...

ETA does make some HAQ movements, principally under the Precidrive designation although Longines have an exclusive variant in their VHP range.

Under the wider Swatch Group, Omega has a HAQ movement in its Z-33.

The only Swatch brand watches to have come with chronometer certificates were old models that would not be HAQ by today's standards. I have one of these and it just an ordinary Swatch Jelly Fish that happened to perform well enough to pass the old, pre-2001 COSC tests.

As far as I know, no mech-quartz movements is HAQ.

With Swatch Group, how about the Certina DS Action and Longines Conquest V.H.P.?

    Swatch Group, yes.

But "Swatch watches" generally connotes Swatch, the brand. I'd have a very hard time believing they're notably better than a typical 20 seconds or so a month.

I did not know what "Swatch" organization the OP was referring too, except he or she posted his question in the HAQ forum. And as far I know, there are no HAQ Swatch watches per se. That is why I qualified my answer with "Swatch Group".

I have a Swatch that looks like a school clock with a red second hand, it was among the second batch that cae out. i got it in October, 1985 and off the wrist at normal room temperature it is accurate to better than a second a year...Worn though it is not as good...Mine apparently is an unsual case regarding it's accuracy off the wrist.

Since this is not a general quartz forum, Mr. Moderator thinks this thread has exceeded it's usefulness. No quartz Swatch is HAQ.
