The elegant Edmond AM 1886 PZ Calibre 98 is for those who are deeply passionate about their timepieces and to watchmaking heritage. Mathey-Tissot was founded in Les Ponts-de-Martel in the Jura Mountains of Switzerland 132 years ago in 1886. The company specialized in minute repeaters and chronographs, winning numerous prizes and awards for quality and performance. Today, Mathey-Tissot makes an elegant selection of timepieces for men and women, with a special expertise in extraordinary dials. The Edmond AM 1886 has a case of 316L stainless steel with rose gold PVD, featuring a dial with windows cut into it to expose the wheels and gears of the hand-wound calibre 98. The watch is water resistant to 50 metres, making it suitable for swimming. The watch is a limited edition of 200 pieces.

From the official description on their site, the movement:

"Caliber 98 Mechanical Hand Winding Swiss Made 16 lines, full skeleton hand made with blue screw"

I can accept not using ''' ... but not the wrong word.

Plus, all this lovely old technical experience...but 60% of the men's models are quartz; the 3-handers are Ronda 500-series. The I looked at listed an IT 20. Never heard of it. TT 20? Maybe. 2 others say Sellita 200...but one claims a 48 hour PR.

Way too many red flags for my taste.

The calibre 98 looks awfully like a 6498 with a modified beat rate and tasteless skeletisation.
