I admit it, I like dive watches. Tool watches. Watches that have been places and done things. I’ve been looking for another “early era” piece of diving technology, preferably a watch…
I just picked up a Citizen Hyper Aqualand from a diver that’s retiring. He bought it in “the early 2000s” and the copyright on the manual is 2002.
Is there any way to tell the manufacturing date from the model, markings or serial number?
It’s marked with
D208-089839 - which I presume is the model number
Y GN-4-5 - no idea - maybe a date code?
850111 - seems to be a serial number
