My first watch was citizen perpetual watch given to me by my girlfriend. All my watches have been Eco drives and this Citizen attesa is no different. The Citizen Attesa was my second JDM citizen watch. I wanted a higher end citizen watch and I started looking at the Atessa line of citizen watches. Unfortunely the limited editions of the 25th anniversary edition of the attesa were out of my budget. So I settled for a the Citizen Attesa AT8040 57E. This watch was also featured in the latest Citizen ad by Takeshi Kaneshiro

This watch is made of titanium and is very light. It has the Japanese movement H804 and with Atomic time it syncs to japan, US, china and Germany . Unfortunely living in Australia means I 'm unable to receive the signal. It seems the watch will try to receive the signal at 2am and if unsuccessful will try again at 3am. Even if the watch doesn't sync at all it will be accurate to +/- 15seconds and for the last few days it seems to running quite well. Since this citizen has world time, once you pull out the crown, you can turn the second hand to select the city you are in and the arms will rotate to the current time in that selected city. There is also the option of selecting summer times( if where you live has daylight savings times). It also has a 1/20second chronograph. Date display is located at 4 o'clock and the dial at 6 o'clock shows the day of the week. This is my first watch with a power reserve dial indicator is and it is very useful it displays 4 levels of charge. Crystal is flat AR sapphire. Case ( 43mm in diameter and 9.9mm in thickness) and bracelet is made of titanium and durectect coated and feels very light (84g). It is waterproof to 100m. Bracelet sits very comfortably on my 6`` wrist after removing two of the links.
