New Citizen ctq57-0955, very first impressions

I received my ctq57-0955 from Japan today, and had it sized right away by a trusted jeweler.

My very first impressions are all reactions to aesthetics, and can be summed up by: "Wow!". The dial is stunning (much more so than I expected looking at 2d photos/pictures). The minute markers are 3d/wedge shaped which reflect the light, giving the dial a diamond/twinkling affect which is lovely.

The very deep black dial looks great against the silver color. I love the green/blue glow of the lume and it actually adds a bit of personality to the watch by day as well as serving its lighting function of the watch in the dark. I find the dial uncluttered and easy to read at a glance.

The titanium band is light, classy, and feels very smooth on. I do not know yet how scratched it will get (or put another way, how well the Duratek coating is going to work). It arrived already set to the exact time, but was off one hour (DST issues probably). It was great to be able to just set the hour hand without disturbing the minute/second hand.

    Pictures coming tonight!

I know this thread isn’t current, but I think it deserves the wristshots for posterity! My wrist is 7.5”.
