You’re right: one can move the 24 hour scale, if selecting only the odd-numbered. There go my СЗ, ЮВ etc. but it makes a lot of sense.
Talking of cyrillic, it seems there is a typo in the projected dial. Smack in the middle: exactly where the best technical editors will miss one.
The mount Elbrus goes in Russian with a soft sign, not the hard one, so one should read
Well, I did write Elbruz a few times here, so do as I say, not as I do 😕
Love the discussion going on. I do not have a chance to reply to everything just now but do know I'm reading and considering everything. It's a slow process. The current bezel was mostly inspired by the Vostok wrist compasses, which includes the degrees and all four directions indicated in red. I've briefly played with other designs like large triangles but nothing coherent enough to show off yet. Do know we have a slightly wider bezel than the recent Alpinist models, but fitting two scales simultaneously will still be a bit tricky.
I should have the bezel color vote up later, which means markings will probably be considered next. Keep it up.
Please see the newest thread to vote for the bezel color
Now, being an iconoclast, I wouldn’t mind a Soviet True Dive watch by Poztok ( Поцток ) with a slightly tweaked aqualung silhouette. I doubt D. Buyalov would agree, but Mr Favinov maybe?
(Poz, putz, potz is familiar to NYC natives, but even more common in Odessa slang, meaning the same as the Italian above)
