I'm not against competing ideas because we haven't exactly voted on it yet, but I felt that everyone was satisfied with the current choice so far.
I am quite satisfied, for what it’s worth. Also, the current numeration of the indices is different than anything I currently own, which is nice.

I too could use variety in numeration...

Dual-use bezels are not uncommon. Some versions of the Seiko Bellmatic have the alarm-setting bezel also marked for minutes, which obviously can't be used both at the same time. Notice also some military/field-type watches with hour numbers and minute marks on the one bezel. Once again not possible to read a second time zone and count elapsed minutes. Closer to home for this forum is the classic Okean chronograph with bezel marked in half-hours; which may be used for timing longer durations than the 30 minutes on the sub-dial or for reading the time in a second time zone but not both at once.

For the sake of variety before function, we miss this, too:

Especially when the minute scale is reversed, for countdowns! I use this bezel often, notably for cooking; the “bell” buzzer, much less...

Nope,I'm not forgetting the origin of the current mockup, but as I said the numerals look oddly spindly as they are. Also as we have a bezel with a lot going on,I think maybe the dial should have a bit less clutter, remember we have what visually equates to 5 hands....so I guess I would prefer less numerals and more indices! And a hand design that is easy to distinguish at a glance
I'm all for taking inspiration from the Poljus but making a direct homage to that particular watch dial is a bit restrictive for the design of the Elbrus
The amount of similar particular dial designs we already have in our individual collections so far should also have no bearing on the current project design either, for the very same reason.

IMNSHO, as you Put in (?), the main hands do better than just the job. Well proportioned, legible hour and minute, very distinct “compass”. The only thing I mind in the draft is the arrow tip on the seconds. A simple silver thin stick, with counterbalancer (precision!), could be less confusing, and “cleaner”. After all, its task is to show the whole clock is tickin’. Else, some might ask a triple scale bezel — with seconds, tachymeter and heartbeats.
And, as you said, there are already five hands, viusally.

    Hi comrades,
As a participant of the Elbrus project I just want to let you know that I just resigned. From the start on I had my hesitations about some ideas and descisions made regarding the watch progression and I think I just do not have the " right click" with it. I really do hope to see the watch reach it`s final stage for all of you who are participating in this project. Repect to all who try to make it work. I allready sent out a message to our great project manager too. Keep up the good work guys! make it happen!
