A special highlight of INHORGENTA MUNICH 2020 is the partner country Switzerland: The confederation is presenting itself with various offerings on the theme of watches—exhibitors, culture, history and cuisine. INHORGENTA MUNICH, the network platform for the jewelry, timepiece and gemstone industry, will be promoting an international exchange with the Salon Suisse from February 14 to 17, 2020.
From Fortis and Frederique Constant, Guess, Maurice Lacroix, Meister to Victorinox—visitors to INHORGENTA MUNICH can look forward to strong Swiss exhibitors. The country, known for handcrafted perfection, is traditionally represented with big names at the trade fair. One important magnet is the Timepiece Hall A1. Salon Suisse, the partner country’s centerpiece, can also be found here. Klaus Dittrich, Chairman and CEO of Messe München, explains: “We’re delighted to be able to welcome the watchmaking capital of the world as a partner and, in so doing, to promote international exchange within the watch industry and beyond.”
Stefanie Mändlein, Exhibition Director at INHORGENTA MUNICH, adds: “The Timepieces section has undergone an extremely positive development at INHORGENTA MUNICH in the last few years. Switzerland, with its world-renowned watchmaking know-how, fits in perfectly into this growth field.”
Salon Suisse as the centerpiece
Salon Suisse offers a diverse program. For example, the renowned Musée international d’horlogerie will be showcasing the art of watchmaking from the 18th century right through to the present day with a select range of exhibits.
In the “My Watch” exhibition of creative consultant Joachim Schirrmacher and photographer Franco Tettamanti, Swiss personalities present their own watch and the story behind it. The Salon Suisse bar will present Swiss specialties, thus providing an ideal setting for networking.
The Swiss Confederation is the patron of the partnership: “For us, INHORGENTA MUNICH is an ideal opportunity to showcase the quality and versatility of our watch industry to a knowledgeable audience of experts,” says Markus Thür, Swiss Consul General in Munich. The work of the Swiss Consulate General focuses among other things on maintaining and promoting economic relations. INHORGENTA MUNICH offers the best platform for that.
