This approach could work. The ‘1’ and ‘0’ also play into the digital aspect of the project.

Here’s my interpretation, with a more direct take on the ‘ф’:

Why can't we just stick the WUS logo or whatever on the caseback instead of putting it on the dial?

With an analogue watch I can understand why you would have the WUS logo or wording on the case back but a digital "dial" is different. The face of the digital watches is meant to have graphics and logos. It was all part of the image of such watches in the 1980s. You could more or less print anything on the dial and in multiple colours at minimal cost.

After all, you could swap a case back onto an equivalent watch and make that a WUS project watch just like that. It is much harder to do that with a dial. Just think of the franken/fake WUS watches there might be in the future!

Then rearrange to the "Electronika" and caseback from this:

Except those orange ‘crosshair’ blobs look terrible.

That'll do nicely. Lets stop here and get it done!

Boo that was my idea lol. I did suggest thinner crosshairs, but I won't lose any sleep if they aren't there :)
I do like the Mir idea too. What the hell, these things are relatively cheap we could do one now and have more variations in the future.

No objections here. I believe the phrase is, "Shut up and take my money!"

Love it, so no objections as it effectively solves the logo problem and discussion.
Well maybe the Ф character could be squared off a (large) bit. Then it remains typographically correct in Cyrillic, yet recalls the general, axe-cut layout of the “digital” era dial.
