This is a 77A module with 7 melody choices for the alarm (very appropriate for a watch themed on an alarm clock). While the digits are not as large as the module depicted earlier, it has the advantage of showing the seconds in the main display.

Arizone, regarding the blue colour; a filter in the crystal in front of the LCD will likely reduce the contrast significantly. The clarity of a display like this is dependent on light getting through to the reflector panel behind the LCD. The alternative colour-change technique (which requires modification during assembly of the module) would be to change the material used for the reflector panel.

I disagree, it's a well-known process on some Casio watches. Even less of a concern if white Superluminova is used, but I have bigger doubts on that.

I think we the square case they use on the Integral 01 Arizone's idea would look very modern, almost like an Apple watch and very unique...for a $26 project it would be an hit.

I actually prefer a retro or vintage looking elektronika. I want something that is clearly Soviet or Russian in design rather than something that looks like a digital watch that every other person has.

LED sounds very interesting, but I can see price getting out of hand.

I’d be interested in doing this. More as a digital watch fan than a Russian watch fan.... but if the price is right count me in.

The funkier it is, the better. Love all the suggestions so far. Keep the pics coming!
