Okay, I finally did it.
-4cups boiling water, 1/8 teaspoon Rite Golden Yellow dye power
-placed GG band/bezel set in and simmered 5mins
-4cups boiling water, between 1/32 and 1/16 teaspoon of Rite Teal dye power
-yellow band/bezel from above procedure simmered 5mins
The yellow looked nice and I wish I'd have put it on the watch to see how the gold accents and readout worked with it but I did not.
Final product with the green set on the GG Frogman even makes the gold readout look a bit green to me. I thought it wouldn't be bright enough so I erred on the side or less dye and I think it came out nicely.
My only mistake/regret was that I was not patient enough to realize the pin on the latch wasn't a spring type and that I'd have to leverage the clasp off so I could remove the band fastener as to not boil it. If you look closely you'll see it melted on the shot(s) of the band for the few minutes it was yellow. I am now using the original holder that came with my GG so it's not that big of a deal. Notice in both the yellow and green pictures there is a slight discoloration where the melted clasp was as the yellow dye wasn't absorbed as much as in other areas. I took it off for the teal boil so you should be able to see the less green tint in that spot. No trouble though as when worn that section is very well out of site.
